Emily I do not have the words to describe the beauty of what I just read. You are a fantastic wordsmith! I especially adore the beginning description, I felt I was there. I don’t often purchase older books, but sometimes I just can’t resist! I once found an American history book that was published around the 1860s. I keep debating getting it rebound because it is falling apart, but I don’t know. It’s just to cool!

I love collecting old books❤️ My grandpa will give me some every once in a while which makes them extra special. A couple months ago he gifted me a hundred year old pocket herbalist book! Such a treasure😊

It's simply so striking that a moment can be preserved in time the way it can in a book. And that sense of awe certainly grows with a book's age. They are truly treasures.

I'm not a collector of old books, but I am DEFINATELY a second-hand book girl. Head into a thrift store and I go for the books first.

I love this so much! It was like being sent an envelope full of sunshine.

Old books are so fascinating. I found a history of WW2 that was published in 1945 last summer, and the cover’s hanging by a thread, but I still love it and feel like I found hidden treasure.

Thank you, Em! That means so much to me. <3

Ohh that's so cool! A history of WW2 published in 1945? That's basically when WW2 ended, wow! Hidden treasure indeed.
